Vincent St Claire
Managing Director
Vincent has over 30 years’ experience in the automotive sector, particularly in the leasing, fleet management, daily rental and insurance sectors and now more than a decade at the helm of Fleet Assist.
He was previously MD of Arval, operations director at easyCar and commercial director of rental services at the AA.
He has been responsible for bringing innovation to the fleet industry, particularly within the current SMR sector and has a strong track record in operation supplier management and developing long term customer partnerships.
Carl Blott
Finance Director
Carl joined Fleet Assist in 2018 after 8 years at Tusker where he was head of finance and head of business transformation. During his 25 years in the industry Carl has also worked for other leasing companies including Lex Autolease and Pendragon.
Responsible for all aspects of the finance team’s performance and the company’s financial reporting, Carl manages the rental administration function leveraging his strong process and funding/credit underwriting experience.
Karen Ewer
Operations Director
Karen is one of Fleet Assist’s longest-serving colleagues having spent the last 6 years as head of business development where she was pivotal in the exceptional growth of our customer base.
Karen’s proven track record in strategic relationship management, coupled with her operational, budgetary and business compliance skill set culminated in her promotion to the key position of operations director in January 2024.
Karen’s current role has responsibility for the entire operations function. This encompasses integral support services such as technical authorisation, service booking, network administration, customer services and data analytics. Karen’s unique skills make her ideally suited to supporting both our customers and network partners, which is instrumental in driving Fleet Assist’s growth plans.
Karen has over 20 years’ experience in the automative industry and has held management positions in marketing, purchasing and customer services at prestigious companies such as LeasePlan and Ford Rental.
Nikos Kotrozos
Supply Chain Director
Nikos has 20 years’ experience in the automotive industry on both the OEM manufacturing and fleet services side.
Nikos is responsible for supplier relations with our 5,200-strong garage network and has an MBA in general management, an MSc in operations management, and a BA(Hons) in logistics and supply chain management and was awarded an MCIPS in 2003.
Prior to joining Fleet Assist, Nikos was a senior general manager at LeasePlan UK leading the supplier management function of the RMT department, a procurement lead for Babcock looking after the Metropolitan Police fleet and a senior global buyer for optoelectronics, ADAS and radar technology for Jaguar Land Rover.
Garry Winckley
Business Development Director
Garry has been involved in the motor industry all his working life. He started as a car and commercial vehicle technician and spent several years with Lex in contract hire, vehicle maintenance, bodyshops, driver contracts and logistics.
Having joined Ford Retail, he led the aftersales operations and was a main board member of Trust Ford Parts and also spent time on secondment to Ford Motor Company, revamping dealer standards and training.
More recently he worked with the Jaguar Land Rover network on business transformation building on his extensive experience in both prestige and volume main dealer operations.
Joanna Cooper
Strategic Projects Director
Joanna has over 23 years’ experience in the fleet industry and has been with Fleet Assist for over 19 years covering a variety of business development and strategic project roles.
During her time in the business development team, Joanna was responsible for some of our largest customers and has a proven track record in account management. Her project work included our office relocation & refurbishment, staff training, process change management and new services development.
More recently she has been promoted to her current role of strategic projects director, a key position in the company manging and supporting new initiatives.
Prior to Fleet Assist, Joanna worked for Kwik-Fit Fleet managing their national sales team of ten and as a strategic accounts manager.
Sara Smith
Head of Business Development Vehicle Supply and Funding
Sara joined Fleet Assist in July 2024 after previously being the largest supplier of vehicles into our rental supply department.
She has a wealth of experience in the industry having spent the last 29 years working within the dealer network, specialising in LCV, corporate fleet, rental and business sales and is proficient in all aspects of automotive funding.
Her previous role as group fleet and business sales manager for Stellantis Sales and Service saw her manage 8 national fleet sales managers and 7 local business managers alongside driving and developing 34 sales support and administration team members. Her group role allowed her to work closely with many brand directors and heads of supply, fleet and rental, which contributed to her extensive insight into the industry.
James Elliott
Director of Technology
James joined Fleet Assist in June 2024. He has over 20 years’ experience working in software across multiple industries.
He has a background in implementing the best technologies and processes to deliver cloud-based software solutions for startups, scale-ups and large multi-national companies.
James manages Fleet Assist’s deployment and use of technology across the company. He owns the delivery of the core line of business applications and SaaS products as well as IT operations within the company.
